Energy of the Future Manifesto

Rome, 18th october 2018

The stage of the traveling road show promoted by Manifesto per l'energia del futuro ("Manifesto for the energy of the future") was held today at our Rome office and addressed to the territorial frameworks of the Consumer Associations that have the important role of helping consumers in the knowledge opportunities offered by the market.
At the center of the debate are the key principles on which the "Manifesto" is founded, created to foster and design a market that has the consumer as its protagonist and puts savings, sustainability and innovation at the center (none excluded).

Since January the Road show has crossed 6 Italian cities: Bologna, Milan, Caserta, Perugia, Fermo and Turin, and has involved about 200 territorial pictures of the Consumers Associations participating in the Manifesto.
The next steps of the initiative will involve the cities of Reggio Calabria, Bari and Catania.

«We are delighted to host this stage of the road show "Manifesto for the Energy of the Future" together with other operators in the sector and some of the most representative consumer associations. Our goal is to support energy consumers, in this transition phase, towards the complete liberalization of the market, collecting their expectations so as to be able to respond adequately to their needs and inform them of all the guarantees they can use. Our ambition is to help to build a new energy market where the consumer is at the center».

Roberto Aquilini, Strategy, Regulatory & Public Affairs Director,
Portfolio Management di ENGIE Italia

The initiative wants to bring a concrete contribution through the sharing of proposals to be presented to the institutions in view of the elimination of greater protection, asking for a more open energy market and close to the real needs of consumers. The "Manifesto" was born in 2015 to enhance the potential of complete market liberalization through an innovative and unique experience of shared work by companies and consumer associations.
This is why the initiative has been promoted by leading energy players and consumer associations.
