23th may 2016

Inauguration of the photovoltaic system realized by ENGIE Italia inside the car park of the San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital in Rome. At the event, among others, were the General Director of the Hospital Dott.ssa Ilde Coiro and the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti.

"Solar energy has a potential equivalent to 20 times the annual world demand," said Olivier Jacquier, during the inaugural event - The green project is aimed at producing the energy of the future, a decentralized and renewable energy".

792 photovoltaic panels for a total development of 1,306.80 square meters, equivalent to 5 tennis courts; 214,204 kWh of annual electricity production. A power corresponding to the energy requirements of the large radiological equipment in the Hospital Presidium, such as TAC, magnetic resonance and linear accelerators; 107 Kg of CO2 emissions avoided every year: a number corresponding to about 100 cars subtracted from circulation.

The plant is the first in the center of Rome.
