Settimo Torinese, 11th july 2018
Less than a year after the acquisition of the Settimo Torinese district heating network, the construction of 4 new kilometers of network has started. It's an ambitious project involving the crossing of the railways and the connection of the Rio San Gallo District (North area) East of Settimo.
This extension will have extremely positive repercussions in terms of environmental impact that will benefit the youngest in an area full of nursery, primary and secondary schools (Vivaldi, Collodi, Gobetti, Pellico, Giacosa) as well as the larger ones with buildings of strong aggregation like the Ringtone and the Ecomuseum.
Compared to other networks in operation, Settimo District Heating benefits from an even greener heat production process thanks to exclusively cogenerative or biomass sources. In the San Gallo district, the network will cut CO2 emissions by over 37% compared to the current state.
In addition to contributing positively to improving air quality, future customers will also benefit from a more reliable and safer service with significant savings.
