ENGIE Italia provides clean energy for homes, businesses and cities, and is a leader in energy efficiency services and technical management. As the healthcare sector is among our most important clients, ENGIE has decided to provide free of charge, for six months, electricity, gas and the assistance services of its technicians in the units under construction and/or transformation of the health facilities under its management. This decision is one of our commitment to respond to the Covid-19 health emergency.

The perimeter concerned is made up of 95, including hospitals and healthcare facilities, which are present throughout the national territory from North to South, including islands.

«A concrete commitment to cope with the emergency that the country is facing because energy and related services represent, above all at this moment, a fundamental resource for those who fight this battle every day on the front line: our hospitals and health facilities. Always committed alongside the territories in which we operate, we want to make a tangible contribution, which is combined with the activities that our technicians carry out daily. In Italy we are over 3,800, of which over 660 technicians fully dedicated to the service of hospitals. The initiative has already been communicated to all 95 structures and health units in the scope».

Damien Térouanne, CEO ENGIE Italia

Among the hospitals that will benefit from it, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome and the ASST Fatebenefratelli Sacco of Milan are at the forefront of the Covid-19 emergency.

ENGIE, thanks its collaborators, technicians, doctors, all health workers, researchers, the civil protection system, institutions and all the actors involved in the front line at the service of the community.
